What does it do? In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)

The common cold, depending on its duration, can bring on a variety of symptoms: "New colds" are characterized by fever with chilliness and other symptoms, the principal symptom being headaches. If the cold lingers in the crown of the head over an extended period of time, it may induce migraine headaches.

This herbal formula contains Notopterygium(Qiang Huo), Siler(Fang Feng), and Schizonepeta(Jing Jie) which dispel Tai-Yang meridian type colds. Angelica(Bai Zhi) and Mentha(Bo He) dispel Yang-Ming type fever. Asarum(Xi Xin) expels superficial pathogenic factor, and relieves Shao-Yin type headaches. Cnidium(Chuan Xiong) is effective in treating Jue-Yin type headaches. When all of these herbs are combined, they are exceptionally effective in relieving headaches caused by exogenous pathogenic factor.
