What does it do? In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
This formula is made by adding Lycium chinense(Gou Qi Zi) and Chrysanthemum(Ju Hua) to Liu Wei Oi Huang Wan.
Lycium chinense(Gou Qi Zi) nourishes the yin, tonifies and blood, benefits the vital essence and brightens the eyes. Lycium chinense(Gou Qi Zi) is helpful of deficiency of liver yin and kidney yin, as well as dizziness, blurred vision, weakened eyesight, poor hearing, seminal emission, soreness and weakness in the waist and knees, etc. Chrysanthemum(Ju Hua) calms the liver, clears the liver, brightens the eyes, dispels wind and clears out heat. It is helpful of redness, swelling and pain in the eyes. In combination with Lycium(Gou Qi Zi) it is used to support liver deficiency and blurred vision. Rehmannia(Shu Di Huang) nourishes the yin, tonifies the kidneys, stimulates the production of blood and stimulates the production of semen. Cornus(Shan Zhu Yu) warms the liver, dispels wind, and exerts an astringent effect by helping the body to retain semen and vital energy. Paeonia(Mu Dan Pi) purges latent monarch fire and latent minister-fire, cools the blood and relieves symptoms caused by hectic fever. Dioscorea(Shan Yao) clears deficiency heat from the lungs and spleen, nourishes the spleen and strengthens the kidneys.
